Privacy and your data
The desktop app and this website handle different information. Here is what stays on your device and what can leave it.

Records on your Mac
TCGJet stores inventory, costs, sales, contacts, settings and other workspace records in a local database. Core use does not require a TCGJet cloud account. The app has no advertising or analytics SDK and does not automatically upload telemetry or diagnostics.
The database and JSON/CSV exports are not encrypted by TCGJet. Use FileVault, a protected Mac account and secure backup storage. Local-first does not mean the files cannot be accessed by someone with access to your device.
The desktop app keeps up to 14 verified backup sets. Resetting the active workspace retains a recovery backup; it does not erase every backup or exported file. You control those files separately.
Optional online services
Card catalogs, images, price and currency refreshes, and requested certification lookups contact the providers you use. Requests can reveal the searched card or certification identifier, your IP address and standard connection information. Each provider’s privacy practices apply.
Those requests do not include your inventory quantities, purchase costs, business transactions, customer contacts or notes. Provider coverage varies. Optional scheduled price checks run while the app is running, not through a hosted portfolio-monitoring service.
User-supplied provider keys are handled through the operating-system credential store. They are not included in TCGJet’s database, diagnostics or backups. Mac App Store updates are managed by Apple; the current direct release has no active updater feed.
Diagnostics and exports
Diagnostics are off by default. If enabled, the app keeps at most 50 recent runtime error names/messages in memory. Turning diagnostics off clears those events. Sharing requires you to export a report yourself; review and redact it first because error text can reflect recently entered values.
Backups, CSV reports and screenshots may contain sensitive financial or personal information. Share only what is necessary, through a trusted channel. Do not send a database, backup, password or provider key for routine support.
Website access enquiries
New access enquiries are paused. The website does not currently accept or save new email requests, subscribe visitors to a newsletter, take payment or deliver the application.
The previous access form stored email address, seller category, contact consent and submission time in a private website database for manual access follow-up. Previously submitted records have not been deleted by this website update. There is no public endpoint for listing them. An automatic deletion schedule is not currently configured; existing entries remain stored until manually removed.
This website is hosted through Sites and Cloudflare. Hosting and security services process connection information to serve and protect it. Cloudflare sets a security cookie. The website is not an offline surface or a “no data collected” service.
Contact and control
If we have already contacted you about access, reply to that email to ask about your enquiry or request its removal. A separate public privacy contact has not yet been published; the support page lists the currently available contact route.
Your desktop records remain under your control. Website enquiry handling and third-party provider practices are separate from the local app database.
